CRNAs Supporting Reproductive Health at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, better known as CRNAs, are essential to Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest (PPPSW). In addition to providing anesthesia for gynecological procedures, our CRNAs understand that surgery of any kind can provoke anxiety, especially for reproductive health care, and they take time to listen to patients’ concerns and answer any questions they may have.

They walk patients through what to expect before, during and after their procedures, take time to make sure the surgical experience is as positive as possible, and that their patients feel optimistic about their choices and outcomes.

PPPSW relies on contracted CRNAs because our needs can vary daily. Flexibility and a willingness to work on an as-needed basis are vital to our ability to serve our patients. CRNAs are essential to our skilled and compassionate integrated care team. They work closely with our physicians, nurses and medical assistants, and their expertise and compassion are vital to providing the safe, high-quality care that Planned Parenthood is known for.
